Abstract
A visible spectrometer with an intensified linear diode array detector has been used to simultaneously measure D, He, C and O influxes from the JET belt limiters. The behaviour of impurity influxes in helium plasmas has been examined, and the ratio of D α/D γ line intensities has been used to measure the edge electron density.
