Abstract

Some experimental informations have been obtained concerning the particle and heat transport during lower hybrid heating in the JFT-2 tokamak. The cross field particle and heat transport coefficients are determined from plasma parameters in a scrape-off layer, add the particle and heat losses to the limiter and wall are also estimated experimentally. It is shown that the lower hybrid heatting does not give serious effects on the plasma confinement, if the effective ion heating is performed successfully in the main plasma.
