Abstract

The problem on the relativistic spinless and spin-1/2 particle motion in the Coulomb field is analyzed. The eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of particle and antiparticle bound states are calculated. The calculated spectra include the deeply bound states with the binding energy approximately equal to the particle rest mass. The antiparticle bound states play an important role in the atomic capture, radiative decay of hadronic atoms, and collision processes accompanied by recharging of reaction fragments.
