Abstract

Interest in cell phones as a valid survey mode in sub–Saharan Africa increased precipitously in the past decade. However, the mode has mainly been used for cross-sectional studies. This paper presents enrollment and participation rates for a two-year (July 2020 – June 2022), weekly population-based computer-assisted telephone interview (CATI) surveillance system in Lesotho. We found high participation and share lessons learned.
