Abstract

Complicated crown fracture is not common in primary incisors. The treatment options of complicated crown fracture consist of direct pulp capping, pulpotomy, pulpectomy, and extraction. Most dentists choose to extract the fractured anterior teeth with open apices when it occurs due to behavioral problem and unpredictable prognosis. Partial pulpotomy is often used in the complicated crown fractured permanent teeth with open apices, but less in primary teeth. This case report presents a successful case of conservative pulpal treatment, partial pulpotomy, for complicated crown fractured primary incisors with incomplete root formation. After one year, clinical examination did not found any symptoms except grayish discoloration on the treated teeth. Periapical radiograph showed complete root formation, thickening of dentinal root canal walls and dentinal bridge formation underneath MTA.
