Abstract

The concept of partial symmetry is shown to be relevant to fermionic many-body systems. The associated Hamiltonians are closely related to a realistic nuclear quadrupolequadrupole interaction as applications to various nuclei confirm. As an illustration, the case of the deformed light nucleus 24Mg is presented.
