Abstract

With the implementation of the national “strong smart grid” strategy, higher requirements have been put forward for the intellectualization of power equipment operation and fault condition monitoring, analysis, solution, prevention and asset life cycle management. In order to detect partial discharge (PD) faults of operating equipment in time, a new method based on ultrasonic wave is proposed. Fus-40CR waterproof ultrasonic sensor and narrow-band filter circuit are used to acquire the time-domain and frequency-domain signals of PD ultrasonic signals. According to the magnitude of ultrasonic signals in time-domain and frequency-domain, the intensity of PD can be judged indirectly, and the problems of PD monitoring for high-voltage equipment can be solved. This monitoring system can improve the quality of power supply in power system. It is of practical significance to ensure the safe operation of the power system and the healthy development of the power industry in China.
