Abstract

What can I tell about the Parsis (Parsees) -- a unique group of people – that has not already been told? What can I write about the Parsees that has not already been written? To state that I have something new to say, would be absurd. All I can say is that there is so much published out there about the Parsees of India – their life and lore, biography, contributions to the arts, literature, business, trade, manufacturing, cuisine, cinema, journalism: just about anything you can name -- that there is something available in print or on the web, or in the magazines produced by the Parsis and others, not only in India and Pakistan but elsewhere as well. Hence, instead of saying this work is new research or scholarship, I would humbly say that this publication is a compendium of existing research and scholarship, put together in various sections as a labour of love by someone who is not a Parsi but calls himself by a Parsi name, SushiLjee Kanadawala. In this bibliography you will find items related to many subjects as mentioned above, and many more.
