Abstract

During World War I the Tsar was dethroned as a result of the internal conflicts in the Tsarist Russia and a new era started. The Provisional Government that was formed after Tsarist period was not long-lived and Bolsheviks seized the power in October 1917. Although the Bolsheviks, under leadership of Lenin, had the support of the working classes and landless serfs during the Red Revolution some generals loyal to Tsar rejected to obey them and launched a counter revolution named White Army against the Reds. The generals of the White Army that were struggling to be successfull under difficult conditions vitally needed the military and economic assistance of the Entente Powers and tried to be recognized as the legal government of Russia in Paris Peace Conference. Another difficult struggle that was affected by all these developments was the Turkish War of Independence that started under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal
