Abstract

ABSTRACTIt may seem difficult to strike a balance between formal proceedings, which can be perceived as stiff and cold, and informal proceedings, which attempt to be friendly and warm but may result in unfocused discussions. Using parliamentary procedure during business proceedings can expedite business, ensure justice and equality, and maintain order. Information about and knowledge of parliamentary procedure should help businesses and be a learning experience for all members, with ordered discussion and accomplishment of the ultimate goal.
