Abstract
Treasury backing has been promised for the continued growth of nurse-led outpatient clinics. Specialist nursing roles have also gained backing as value for money. The commitment was given in the Treasury's response to questions from the Commons' financial watchdog, the Public Accounts Committee, asking whether nursing skills are being used to their full advantage.
