Abstract

We present the results of a calculation of the recently measured asymmetry of the 110-keV $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ ray emitted in the ${\mathrm{\textonehalf{}}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ \ensuremath{\rightarrow} ${\mathrm{\textonehalf{}}}^{+}$ transition in $^{19}\mathrm{F}$. Our results, for the usual choice of parity nonconserving potential, are consistent with the observed asymmetry.NUCLEAR STRUCTURE $^{19}\mathrm{F}$. Calculated parity mixtures of ${\mathrm{\textonehalf{}}}^{+}$ g.s. and ${\mathrm{\textonehalf{}}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ first excited state. Deduced asymmetry of 110-keV $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ ray. Conventional PNC interaction. Short range correlations.
