Parity-mixing intershell coupling in hypernuclei and properties of ΛN interactions

Abstract

Results of the conventional analyses of the Λ 16O and Λ 12C structures are briefly summarized together with properties of ΛN G-matrix interactions. As a new dynamical aspect of hypernuclear spectra, it is pointed out that the A induces coupling of positive- and negative-parity nuclear core states through the s Λ-p Λ transition. The two components appear in the same energy region, so that this aspect is generally expected in hypernuclei and such effects should be taken into account in spectroscopic calculations.
