Abstract

The stationary Wigner equation is studied on a bounded, one-dimensional, spatial domain with inflow boundary conditions assumed. By means of a parity decomposition in the velocity variable, the half-range, two-point boundary problem is reduced to an initial-value problem which is studied in a suitable cutoff approximation around zero velocity.
