<h3>The October Congresses</h3> The series of important medical congresses is being continued and will last until the end of the present month: the Congress of Surgery, the Congress of Internal Medicine, the Tuberculosis Congress (in celebration of the centenary of the birth of Villemin), and the Congress of Hygiene. The Congress of Internal Medicine alone has a registration of 1,200. During this period, a Congress of Hydrology has brought together at Lyons the spa physicians of France, including a large number of physicians from Belgium, Czechoslovakia, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, Roumania and Switzerland. The Congress of Surgery covered a greater breadth of subjects, and the papers were followed by animated and exhaustive discussions. The topics were judiciously chosen and dealt with problems on which there is much difference of opinion among surgeons, at the present time. M.
