Abstract

There is not enough evidence to conclude that screen time is harmful to the health of children and young people or advise on how much screen time is too much, says the first guidance on children’s screen time to be published in the UK.1 The guidance from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health is informed by a comprehensive review of the evidence, published in BMJ Open ,2 on the impact of screen time on the physical and mental health of children and young people.
