Abstract

Parents must actively help the school in solving the great and difficult task of inculcating children with a communist attitude toward work. The teaching staff at secondary school No. 21 and the parents' committee there decided to devote particular attention to this problem. Our observations showed that, unfortunately, many families did not attribute sufficient importance to the education for work which the child receives. Last year's records of the home tasks performed by our children show that only a small number of them are taught to look after their clothing and shoes, wash dishes and floors, make their beds, tidy up rooms, sew, embroider, cook, etc.
