J Allergy Clin Immunol. 2017;140(3):828–835 To determine whether parents’ childhood socioeconomic status (SES) affected their children’s asthma control and peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) cytokine production and to determine if those outcomes were related to continuation of poverty and/or current family stress. In total, 150 children and adolescents with physician diagnosed asthma and their families were included in the study.
