Abstract
Gertrude Seneviratne is a researcher in the Section of Perinatal Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychi atry and a Specialist Registrar at the Mother and Baby Unit, Bethlem Royal Hospital and the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust. Sue Conroy has been a researcher in the Section of Perinatal Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry for the last four years. She previously worked in the field of child protection, both as a researcher and a social work practitioner. Maureen Marks is a Senior Lecturer in the Section of Perinatal Psychiatry, Institute of Psychiatry and Senior Clinical Tutor, Maudsley Perinatal Service and Mother and Baby Unit, South London and Maudsley NHS Trust.
