Abstract

In a project which monitored the procedures of the Education (Scotland) Act, 1981, as they affect visually impaired children, parents were questioned regarding satisfaction with their children's place ment in either a special school or unit for the visually impaired or in a local mainstream school. The parents were generally content with their children's present placement whilst being fully aware of its advantages and disadvantages.
