Abstract

Intro: The standard of care for symptomatic hyperparathyroidism is surgical removal of all hyperfunctional parathyroid tissue. We reviewed one trust's activity in performing parathyroid surgery over a 10 year period. We looked at both indications for surgery and yearly trends in the number of cases carried out. All patients were treated within the Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust.
