Abstract
A study on the reactivity of para-quinone methides in intramolecular cyclization reactions is presented. The para-quinone methides were isolated and completely characterized prior to cyclization. A furan, a pyrrole and a mono-alkyl substituted benzene were used as cyclization terminators.
