Abstract

A new principle of control system design called matching was recently developed. In terms of the principle of matching, the main aim of design is to ensure that the set of possible inputs is a subset of the set of tolerable inputs. In this paper, the relation between the Youla parameter and the conditions for a match is discussed. It is shown that the sufficient condition for preserving a match is written as an inequality constraint on the Youla parameter.
