Abstract
This work presents a numerical study of free vibration and harmonics analysis of anti-symmetric cross-ply laminated composite plates. Laminated composite structures have found numerous applications in structural elements used in various fields like aerospace, military, automotive industries etc. These structures are often subjected to dynamic loads which create vibration. The natural frequency, mode shape and harmonic analysis of laminated composite plate has been determined using finite element package ANSYS. The frequency-amplitude relationship for the anti-symmetric laminated orthotropic plate is obtained. The results are compared for anti-symmetrical laminated orthotropic plate at all edges clamped boundary condition. The effect of damping factor, modulus ratio and orientation on harmonic analysis are also investigated.
