Abstract

The main of this work is to analyze the performance of a wood solar dryer functioning under a Moroccan climate. A mathematical model based on actual climate data of Rabat city is used to investigate theoretically the drying wood process. The influence of the principal operating parameters (wood thickness, wood density, air temperature and air velocity) on the drying time is studied. The results obtained show an acceptable agreement between computed and experimental values.
