Abstract

Cognitive Radio (CR) system can adjust transmission parameters dynamically to improve its performance according to the wireless environment and users requirements. Cognitive radio parameters optimization is a multi-objective optimization problem (MOP). This paper presents a DNA multi-objective genetic algorithm (DNA-GA) based on non-dominated sorting to optimize the CR parameters. Non-dominated sorting and clone operator are used to converge to the global Pareto-optimal front. The simulation results show that DNA-GA is able to improve the search capability and get good population diversity by leading genetic manipulation. DNA-GA is feasible and valid in the parameters optimization of CR.
