Abstract

The paramagnetic resonance of Gd 3+ in YAl 2 was measured in the temperature range from 5 °K to 70 °K. The dependence of linewidth on temperature and Gd-concentration indicates the existence of a “bottleneck” in the relaxation between the conduction electrons and the lattice.
