Abstract
Paramagnetic resonance absorptions in tetravalent, trivalent, and divalent salts of V and in a divalent salt of Mn have been investigated at room temperature and at a frequency of 9.2\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}${10}^{9}$ ${\mathrm{sec}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$. A detailed study has been made of the absorption in single crystals of the Tutton salt of ${\mathrm{V}}^{+2}$ as a function of orientation. The results have been interpreted on the basis of crystalline electrostatic fields.
