Paramagnetic reaction products of bis(1,3,5-tri-tert-butyl-2,5-cyclohexadien-4-one) 1-peroxide with the halides of aluminum, gallium, and indium

Abstract

1. It was shown by the EPR method that bis(1, 3, 5-tri-tert-butyl-2, 5-cyclohexadien-4-one) 1-peroxide and some quinolide derivatives give stable chelate complexes with the halides of the Group III elements. 2. The theory was expressed that the formation of such complexes is associated with the rearrangement of the p-quinolide structure to the o-quinolide structure.
