Abstract
The paramagnetic susceptibility of magnetic rare earth ions in the crystal field was investigated on La 1− x Nd x Ba 2Cu 3O y and Y 1− x R x Ba 2Cu 3O y (R=Gd and Ho). From the experimental curves, the crystal field parameters of Nd and Ho ions in the compounds are estimated and the change distribution around rare earth ions is examined by using these parameters.
