Abstract

In Turkish and Kyrgyz languages with two voices (VC and CV), and the meaning parallels of the common root verbs in Muqaddimat al-Edab (=MKE) have been studied. In Turkish and Kyrgyz languages common root verbs with two voices were scanned for the common root verbs discussed, and then their meaning parallels were examined by comparing them with MKE. In the study, the meanings of common root verbs are given, while the meaning of MKE, the sentence in the text and its transfer to modern Turkish are also given. Then Kyrgyz and Turkish languages are shown only if there is a parallel or close meaning. Unrelated meanings were not added to the study. By paying attention to the fact that the study is at a certain limit, some determinations have been made about the semantic properties of common root verbs in two languages. In order to study the semantic status of the related words, “Muqaddimat al-Adab (1993)”, “Kyrgyz Language Dictionary I-II (2011) and “Turkish Dictionary (2011)” were taken as the basis.
