Abstract
Magnon instability by parallel pumping is observed in the two-dimensional antiferromagnet (C 2H 5NH 3) 2CuCl 4 below the spin-flop critical field. Measurements are made at pumping frequencies from 7.7 to 10.8 GHz and the instability threshold of the zone-boundary magnon is empirically described as H lc = 0.3 × T 2.46 Oe.
