Abstract
The present paper describes a fault detection system for robotic DC motor drives. First, the fault detection method is presented, which, by reducing the amount of computation, permits a higher sampling rate than other fault detection methods. Next, the effectiveness of the method is verified using simulation results and, finally, the implementation of the algorithm on a commercially available parallel processing machine is given.
