Abstract

This paper develops a parallel finite-element method based on a space–time domain decomposition method. The proposed method combines a standard space domain decomposition approach with the parallel time-periodic explicit error correction method as a parallel-in-time integration method. To clarify its parallel performance, numerical results of magnetic field analyses of an interior permanent magnet motor fed by pulse width modulation inverters are demonstrated.
