Abstract

The article presents the results of own research on the environmental determinants of women's activity for the parish community. They were carried out on a representative sample of 400 inhabitants of rural areas of Podkarpacie and were aimed at obtaining answers to the question about the relationship between specific environmental variables and activities undertaken by respondents in the parish. The research used a quantitative strategy, a type of verification study. The method of diagnostic survey was used, using the survey technique. The hypotheses were subjected to empirical verification using statistical tools. It was found that the respondents were involved in activities for the benefit of the parish, especially in the dimension of material support for the parish (financial support). To a lesser extent, the respondents were active in other areas of parish life, e.g.: through individual work for it. It has also been shown that the independent variables (environmental features) taken into account differentiate selected aspects of activity for the benefit of the parish.
