Abstract

The dynamics of a p-state model with exclusion is formulated in terms of parafermi operators within a Fock-space representation of a Master equation. The relation to the angular momentum algebra is discussed. As an example we study the stochastic hopping of particles between different lattice cells where each cell can be occupied by p particles simultaneously. Furthermore a cyclic chemical reaction with three different species ( p = 2) is studied, taking into account nearest neighbour interaction between the components. The stability analysis reveals a more complex behaviour different from the conventional approach.
