Abstract

Functioning of the city: human habitat consists of a community which is characterized by a population territorially organized where individual units are living together in a relationship of mutual The complexity that has been earlier referred to, responds to the diverse urban demands and a confused, negligent and corrupted mode of supply. The decentralized and fragmented network of management trying to resolve problems at all levels, extends from improving upon the life conditions to contribute to the national economy with innumerous other aspects. Hierarchical order: One of the great themes pervading Indian life is social interdependence. People are born into groups - families, clans, sub castes, castes, and religious communities - and live with a constant sense of being part of and inseparable from these groups. A corollary is the notion that everything a person does properly involves interaction with other people. A person's greatest dread, perhaps, is the possibility of being left alone, without social support, to face the necessary challenges of life. The coordination that is required from people to increase the efficacy to lubricate the functioning system of the urban environment consists of a certain degree of hierarchy at all stages of management right from the spot level to the city observe as a whole. The already existing order of classes and sects of human beings also inevitably demands a division of labour to work under the circumstances in 'Indian context'. The rich elite wants to serve on time and yet doesn't endorse the presence of the downtrodden structures of his servant, which accompanies his neighbourhood. Similarly he talks about recycling non-degradable urban wastes, but collection of irrelevantly disposed articles is not the job he has to undertake. Hence it is important to find solutions of problems within the vicinity of the problems.
