Abstract
Paracetamol overdose is an important cause of drug toxicity and pediatric overdose emergencies remain a significant global issue. Paracetamol is a known toxin to several tissues, but extrahepatic manifestations are not so well established as hepatotoxicity. Acute kidney injury occurs in up to 2% of paracetamol overdoses, generally coexisting with hepatotoxicity.
