Abstract

A 59-year-old woman with recurrent palpitations underwent electrophysiological studies with a view to catheter ablation. A quadripolar diagnostic catheter was placed at the para-Hisian region, and a steerable decapolar catheter (2.5-mm interelectrode spacing for each bipole and 5-mm spacing between bipoles) was introduced via the femoral route into the coronary sinus, spanning the 4 o'clock to 7 o'clock positions of the mitral annulus. Para-Hisian pacing was performed from the distal quadripolar electrodes by adjustment of pacing output.
