Abstract
In this paper, we propose a novel PAPR (peak to average power ratio) reduction method using WHT (Walsh Hadamard transform) to lower the high PAPR of OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) system. The merit of this proposed method is efficient PAPR reduction performance as well as no loss of bandwidth efficiency. Furthermore, the PAPR reduction process can be made in the realtime although there may be a little bit increment of calculation complexity. In this paper, two PAPR reduction methods are presented that combines the SLM (selective mapping) and DSI (dummy sequence insertion) with a WHT From simulation results, it is shown that the PAPR reduction method using a WHT can get about 1 dB better PAPR reduction performance than already-existing SLM and DSI methods. Also, it can be expected that the more robust data transmission is available in nonlinear HPA and multi-path fading channel by PAPR reduction function and frequency diversity effect
