Optic disc aspect and retinal complications are often very similarMethodCase report of a young boy with bilateral congenital malformation of the optic disc and secondary exsudative maculopathy.ResultsOptic disc morphology and slow spontaneous resolution of the serous retinal detachment is illustrated. Family history and father examination oriented towards the diagnosis of papillorenal syndrome.ConclusionCharacteristic optic disc features of the syndrome is described. Patients with multiple cilioretinal vessels should be evaluated to identify the sometimes serious renal abnormalities in papillorenal syndrome. Early diagnosis is important, because prophylactic systemic antihypertensive treatment can limit renal morbidity.
