Abstract

A method has been developed for the paper chromatographic separation of macrolide antibiotics, which is suitable for the identification of the active substances in the fermentation broth of the productive microorganism. The most effective solven mixtures are composed of an alcohol and non-polar solvent, saturated with a concentrated solution of sodium chloride, and buffered to various pH values with a mixture of organic acids and bases.
