Single-bundle ACL reconstruction has been a standard option to treat symptomatic ACL deficient knees. However, recent studies reported that the single-bundle reconstruction cannot completely restore the normal anterior laxity, and that it is not effective for the rotatory instability.[1] The normal ACL consists of the anteromedial (AM) and posterolateral (PL) bundles, having different functions. Recently, authors reported the first clinical procedure for ‘anatomic' double-bundle ACL reconstruction.
