Abstract

Introduction: Burns are thermal, electrical, chemical or radioactive traumas that damage body tissues and can lead to death. Objective: To analyze the data and information collected in the system, referring to the quantity of physiotherapeutic care offered, by the SUS, to patients with burn sequelae, in Brazil, in the last 10 years. Materials and methods: Data were obtained from the DATASUS database. The collected data was organized in an Excel spreadsheet, displayed in graphs and analyzed based on scientific literature. Result: In Brazil, in the last 10 years, 97,685 physiotherapeutic services were offered to medium and large burn patients, through the SUS. The largest number of care for medium and large burn patients was concentrated in the northeast region of Brazil and the smallest number in the Central-West region. Conclusion: The study provided a broad overview of the physiotherapeutic care provided to patients with burns in Brazil over the last ten years.
