Abstract

Kaposiform hemangioendothelioma (KHE) is a rare aggressive childhood vascular neoplasm that may involve any part the body and rarely affects the pancreas. The association with consumptive coagulopathy, known as Kasabach-Merrit Syndrome (KMS), determines a potential life-threatening condition with up to 30% mortality rate.
