Pileo conico campanulato, raro semigloboso, 0.4-1 cm lato, 0.3-0.9 cm alto, absque velo, margine subcrenulato sed numquam appendiculato, cinereo, interdum pallide brunneo ochraceo tinctu, vix hygrophano, lamellis cinereis nigro maculatis, stipite 2-9 cm x 0.5-1.5 mm, pallide cinereo ochraceo, basin versus brunneolo, pruinato. Sporis (16.3?) 18?19(?21) x (8?)9.5(?10) ^m, ellipticis, cum poro germinativo excentrico, basidiis tetrasporis, rarior bisporigeris, 25-28(-30) x 11-15(-16) j^m, cheilocystidiis pileocystidiisque frequentibus ? sublageniformibus. Habitatio: in fimo alcidis, rarior capreoli vel rangiferi. Holotypus IB 81/377, Femsjo, Smolandia, Suecia, 1981-09-08. Pileus campanulate to conical, rarely semiglobose, 0.4-1 cm in diam, 0.3-0.9 cm high, margin slightly crenulate but even in young carpophores not appendiculate from a veil, color pale gray, Code Expo 90 B, apex sometimes with a slight brownish ochraceous hue, very young specimens also with an olivaceous tint, margin Expo 82 B, apex fairly dark up to 83 D, not markedly hygrophanous, mat and somewhat micaceous. Context pale gray in pileus and upper part of the stem, pale brownish downwards. No particular smell and taste. Spores (16.3-)18-19(-21) ixm long, (8-)9.5-10.5(-12) ixm in face view, (8-)99.5(-10) pm in side view; ? elliptic in side and face view with a distinct, eccentric pore (2-4 ^m in diam), dark brown, smooth. Basidia 4- or 2-spored, short and thick, 25-28(-30) x 13-15(-16) jum. Gill edge covered by versiform cheilocystidia, usually with inflated base, and ? long neck, 25-35 x 4-6(-7) pm, sometimes apex slightly subcapitate, pleurocystidia none. Cuticle cellular, cells roundish to elliptic (15-)20(-25) pm in diam, with dispersed pileocystidia, mostly ? bottle-shaped, often with brown wall.
