Abstract

A biostratigraphic subdivision based on palynological data of Oligocene and Neogene-Quaternary deposits recovered by wells 3 and 6 in the south of Western Siberia on the border of the Tyumen and Omsk regions is presented. Eight spore and pollen assemblages are identified and compared with zonal assemblages of the West Siberia regional scale. Layers with dinocysts are identified in the Turtas Formation. To include them in the stratigraphic scheme of the new generation, it is proposed to consider the territory between the villages of Katai and Listvyagi as a stratotype area of this biostraton.
