Abstract
An 81-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital with 6 months of intermittent palpitations and dizziness after undergoing pacemaker generator replacement. Five years previously, she had undergone implantation of a St. Jude Medical Identity DR 5370 (Sylmar, CA) dual-chamber pacemaker for tachycardia–bradycardia syndrome. This was replaced with a St. Jude Medical Zephyr XL DR 5826. Since the generator exchange, she reported frequent episodes of palpitations associated with dizziness and lightheadedness.
