Abstract

The recovery of palladium from spent catalysts has been investigated. Palladium dissolution was effected using acidic sodium chloride. The initial concentrations in these solutions were (mol/l): Pd, 0.0005–0.05; NaCl, 2.0–2.3 and HCl, 0.5–2.0 (or 0.02–0.05). The palladium sorption from these solutions was studied under batch experiment conditions on vinylpyridine ion exchangers AN-251M, ANKF-5 and VP-14K.
