Abstract
1. Palladium chloride supported on poly{benzo[bis(benzimidazolo)phenanthroline]dione (PBI) is reduced by hydrogen to PBI·Pd, which is an active catalyst of the hydrogenation of unsaturated compounds and also the isomerization of olefins and allyl alcohol. 2. The PBI·Pd catalyzes the disproportionation of cyclohexadiene to benzene and cyclohexene.
